Dhokra ( also spelt Dokra ) is non-ferrous metal such as bronze and copper based  casting using the lost- wax casting technique . The sort of metal casting has been used in India for over 4,000 years and is still used . One of the earliest known lost wax artefacts is the dancing girl of Mohenjodaro. It involves patterning a clay core intricately with wax ribbons and then coating it carefully with a mix of clay and hay.
