The Heritage Behind Every Thread

Long before fashion knew the word "trend," the weavers of Bengal were crafting miracles on the loom. The Mul Cotton — or Mulmul — saree is one of Bengal's most beloved textile traditions, born in the weaving clusters of Fulia, Shantipur, and Nadia district, where master craftsmen have spent centuries perfecting the art of feather-light cotton weaving. This Rainbow Stripe Mul Cotton Saree carries that very legacy forward — every stripe woven by hand, every tiny buti (dot motif) placed with intention, every tassel knotted with care.

This is not just a saree. It is a conversation between the past and the present, draped in colour.

What Makes This Saree Special

At the heart of this saree is pure Mul (Mulmul) cotton — arguably the most breathable fabric ever woven on Indian soil. Soft to the very first touch, it drapes effortlessly over the body like a second skin. The signature rainbow stripes run across the pallu and upper body of the saree, transitioning into a solid, richly coloured field scattered with scattered multicolour buti dots — tiny bursts of joy woven directly into the fabric, not printed or embroidered. The border is finished with elegant striped lines and hand-knotted tassels that sway with every step.

Available in six soul-stirring colourways — Lime Green, Midnight Black, Natural Cream, Sky Blue, Smoky Grey, and Forest Teal — each telling a different mood, each equally timeless.

Why You Should Own This

Because comfort is your right. In the heat and humidity of the Indian summer — especially for those in Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, and beyond — a Mul cotton saree is not a luxury, it is a lifeline. It breathes with you, moves with you, and keeps you cool from sunrise to sunset.

Because handloom is an act of love. Each saree is handwoven by skilled artisans whose families have practised this craft for generations. Buying handloom is choosing to keep that tradition alive.

Because it works for every version of you. Style it with a solid-colour blouse for pujas and festivals, a crop top for brunches, or a simple cotton blouse for office days — this saree transitions seamlessly across every occasion.
